We moisten the London Eye

The lubricant specified for the main bearings on the London Eye was a blend of two different types of greases.

The engineers would mix the lubricant in the workshop before feeding it into the bearings. This was far from ideal as there were plenty of opportunities for contamination of the lubricant and it was not always certain that the blend was correctly mixed. 

HLE has supplied them with lubricant that has been pre-blended in a clean environment and then packed in small containers for easier transport to the bearing.

Providing a pre blended product in sealed containers has ensured that the lubricant is contamination free and that the grease is a homogenous mix ensuring peace of mind for the engineers running the London Eye.
